Team orientated structures
Depending on their personal and functional suitability, team members at accelerate may engage with a team leading position with regard to the project. Self-employment and individual capability of the employees are supported at the best possible rate by a rather cooperative management style.
There will be a two-day Jour Fixe across locations integrating the entire workforce on a regular basis of three to four times a year. It will cover the presentation of sales activities and technical issues will be debated within external and internal projects. Reciprocal information regarding all challenges of every project are quite important to us; this ensures that preferably all employees are able to benefit from the acquired experience. The evenings are spent in a social group which undertakes athletic activities and gathers for dinner.
As a company, our self-evident goal is to work efficiently and to secure our means of existence. A consistent but organic growth can be evaluated as advantageous. Just like all other companies, we exist due to satisfied customers and every single one of us is contributing to their satisfaction- a maxim always present to us.
We have chosen the name ‘Accelerate’ for good reason and it expresses a fundamental philosophy: We face the standard of reaching goals quickly by working efficiently. The condition for this to function is a successful interaction among the team. Therefore, we have formulated a concept based on the fundamentals of our personnel policy:

Our employees are our most important potential for success. That is why we offer extensive possibilities for training and continuing education. Internally, workshops are hosted by experienced employees on a training on the job basis. As a business partner of IBM, we enable an external training regarding IBM Cognos via presence learning or e-learning which is concluded with the acquirement of IBM-certificates.
Dual system of study
ITC Dortmund: Accelerate supports junior employees and pays the matriculation fees for studies with a working component resulting in a degree, more specifically, Bachelor of Science IT and Software Systems with an emphasis on data basis. Our goal is to incur these employees in the long run. Therefore, these employees only invest their time while Accelerate covers the cost.
In addition to the functional capabilities of potential applicants for Accelerate, the social competences are at least as important. Since a lot of times particularly the soft skills influence daily collaboration of the team members significantly. The capacity for teamwork and the capacity of communication are key at Accelerate because we often supervise customers in project teams and reach the pre-defined goals with effective collaboration. Further criteria for being employed are initiative of one’s own and analytical skills as they promote the achievement of appropriate new solutions and enable innovative approaches.
New employees receive a welcome package for their first day at work which provides a lot of important information for a good start at Accelerate. In order to design the job entry for new employees at Accelerate as easy as possible, they will receive a supervisor from the beginning. This supervisor will be an experienced employee who helps with the understanding of new structures and working methods. In order to support the newbies optimally and to make sure they benefit from the know-how of the supervisors, regular meetings will be conducted.
Qualitative self-assessment questionnaires, prior to any job interview, serve to guarantee the highest possible compatibility between applicants and Accelerate. An individual training schedule will be drafted for each new team member before their first day of work. That schedule contains a process plan which specifically correlates with the skills and the task area of the employee.
Success will be rewarded
share financial success that has been earned together with our team: In addition to the fixed wage there is a claim for a variable bonus depending on one’s performance (25 % of the yearly salary, for project leaders even up to 35 %). Preconditions for claiming the bonus is the achievement of goals both on company and individual level.
Advantages in Comparison to a considerable Consulting Cooperation
The flat hierarchical structures at Accelerate result in quick decisions and information- and communication channels. New team members will be involved in diversified activities right from the start and there will be direct contact with the individual project leaders and the management.
Comparable to other successful consulting companies, we demand a certain willingness to travel within Germany in order to be able to supervise our customers locally. Nevertheless, we do our utmost to consider personal preferences to distribute projects not too far from home if possible.
In order to guarantee a flexible working environment, we create the possibility to work in a home office setting additionally to the working space at the customer or respectively, at the company.
